PROVINCIAL PRIORY OF DURHAM
The United Religious, Military and Masonic Orders of the Temple and of St. John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta of England and Wales and its Provinces Overseas
A WELCOME FROM OUR PROVINCIAL PRIOR
Welcome to the website of the Provincial Priory of Durham which I hope will be of interest to both Knights of the Province and Freemasons who wish to learn more and may be thinking of joining this international fraternity which has been in existence in England for more than two hundred and thirty years. It is intended to be a means of communication and aims to bring together men of Christian faith and goodwill, regardless of background or political persuasion and promotes tolerance, charity and integrity.
Knight Templar Masonry has been buoyant in Durham since 1872 and currently boasts 14 Preceptories.
Despite being one of the oldest fraternal Orders in existence, we are finding that people still value our ideals and wish to participate in serving their communities through our Order. We intend to regularly update you with information relevant to the Provincial Priory of Durham through this website and will be pleased to hear your opinion of the website and to receive any news you consider worthy of communication.
The Provincial Priory of Durham encompasses the old County boundaries with meeting places from Gateshead to Darlington. Details of all Masonic centres within the Province are featured in this site.
